The 70s

Birth to 10

I went to Hillsgrove Primary School in Kent, my favourite subject was English and my favourite teacher was Miss Paterson, she looked like Lady Di. I was particularly good at writing poems and one of my fondest memories was discovering that my Mum had written all of my poems in a little note book that she kept under her bed.

The 80s

Never Gonna Give You Up

You just got Rickrolled! What a decade! 81 to 86, Bexley Tech for Girls, 86 to 89 working in a payroll department, a desk job is not a great option for someone with ADHD but more about that later. I started the decade aged  9 and ended it about to become a mother.

I hope your team is ready for Generation X!

The 90s

Oasis or Blur?

More nappies than music  for me. I split up with my husband in 1992 and brought my daughter up alone.  My 20s were fun, We lived in Welling in a 2 bedroom flat, just me and my daughter. I had a great group of friends, worked in the city and loved my life. Oh and it would have to be Oasis.

The 21st Century

The Family Years

I had 3 more children, a daughter in 2002, a son in 2003, and another daughter in 2007. Family complete and second marriage over I raised my children into adulthood by myself. We lived in the country and I volunteered at the kids school. Money was tight but we were happy. I eventually went back to work, initially in the school teaching cookery and then in a care home organising activities for people like me.  It's hard work, so thank you.
